Uniforms

We went to the Museum of Somerset again today and had a look in the room that’s all about military things like the army and wars. There are lots of army clothes you can try on. Now we don’t go to school we don’t have to wear uniform any more but even when we did, our uniform wasn’t as uncomfy as these!

We tried on a desert uniform. The colour helps soldiers to stay hidden against the colours of the sand. The helmet was really heavy and we wondered about how hot the soldier must be wearing this in the hot sun.

Desert uniform. I have to hold the hat on because it's so heavy!

Then we tried a really heavy, itchy coat on. This one had a metal hat to protect the soldiers head in battle.

The last uniform was very bright red and we liked it the best. It had a white hat. It was a bit big for us!
